A writer crafting Engaging Stories centering the BIPOC identity, the (L)GBT community, and Black feminist thought.

I’m a first-generation Black and Cuban American, born and raised in Chicago. I unapologetically live as a Black, lesbian writer and artist, continuously and fearlessly writing to voice the freedom of exploration, deconstruction, and reconstruction of oneself and society. Some may know me by my numerous published poems or have been following my journey to publication for my first novel on Substack. I’ve strived to grow in my writing practice and share my experience through it all.

When I’m not writing

I work as a Librarian and Instructional Designer. I have 6 pets total (Rabbit and toads included!), I love murder mystery puzzling games, and have a thrift shopping obsession. And when words are just not enough, I make digital art collages (@BrownSugarCollage) that are brewing with lots of Queer joy, pleasure, and love.
